Prons And Cons Of Using Free Blogging Host

If you’ve considered starting a blog, you’ve probably run across the term self-hosted blog. Most people will tell you that a self-hosted blog is the way to go, especially if you’re looking to create a professional image. When I said "free Blogging Platform" I mean your DOMAIN, TEMPLATES & Your Contact Email.
But what is a self-hosted blog? And why do you need one if you can just start a blog for free through other services? Below, we explain the details of free and self-hosted blogging platforms, the pros and cons of each, and which one you should choose.

Free Blogging Platform
What is it? A free blogging platform is one that is just that: it’s free to sign up for an account, get a domain (such as www.example.com), and set up your site. You can start your free blog with services like Blogger.com and WordPress.com.
The thing about a free account is that your website’s files are stored—or hosted—on your blogging platform’s servers. While there can be costs involved after the initial set up—which we’ll get to in a moment—this simple fact is what differentiates a free blog from a self-hosted blog.
Pros of a free blog:
  1. There are no initial start-up costs.
  1. Free programs like WordPress and Blogger are easy to set up and maintain without any prior website design knowledge.
Cons of a free blog:
  1. Unless you pay for your own domain, you’ll have the WordPress or Blogger domain tacked onto yours, such as www.example.blogspot.com.
  1. Free blogs appear less professional than self-hosted ones.
  1. You have less control over your blog. For instance, people who self-host their blog with the WordPress software can download plugins to expand their website’s capabilities. A free WordPress blog doesn’t allow this, limiting you to only a few options. CSS functions and theme selections are also limited on free blogging platforms.
  1. You have a limited amount of bandwidth, video time, and memory space.
  1. Free platforms usually limit your advertising options, meaning that it’s harder to make money from your blog.
What types of costs are involved?A free blog can be completely free if you want it to. However, if you’re looking to get rid of the “Blogger” or “WordPress” in your domain name, you’ll have to buy and assign your own custom domain. These can be as low as $10 depending on what you pick.
You may also choose to buy stock photos, hire a designer, or purchase an upgraded theme, which can all add to the cost of your blog.

Who should use free blogs?Free blogs are best for people who are just exploring the blogging world or are not very serious about blogging. If you’re just blogging for fun, then by all means start with a free blog!
Self-Hosted Blogging Platform

What is it? A self-hosted blog is one that resides on your own server. Most people, however, pay a third-party to host their blog, which opens them to all the benefits of a self-hosted blog. Sites like iPage (which I recommend), HostGator and Bluehost are among some of the popular companies that provide hosting services. Essentially, these companies rent out digital storage space to users to make running a website possible.

Pros of a self-hosted blog:
  1. You have full control over your blog, including in its layout, search engine optimization, advertising revenue, additional functions, and more.
  1. You can install custom themes to brand your blog.
  1. You have complete access to your backend files, which allows you to make any necessary code changes.
  1. Using a third-party host usually costs only a few dollars per month.
Cons of a self-hosted blog:
  1. It requires an initial investment.
  1. It can be intimidating to new bloggers.
What types of costs are involved?Like with a free blog, any photos, domain names, and themes that you purchase will add to your costs. With self-hosting, you also have to invest in the cost of using a third-party host. The good news is that hosting can cost under $5 per month. Certain plugins—which is a piece of software that you can install on your site to expand its functionality—can cost money, too.

Who should use self-hosted blogs?Since self-hosted blogs look more professional and perform more functions, they are best for businesses. They are also ideal for the individual who wants to improve his or her professional appearance and boost the functions available on his or her website.

Disadvantages of using free templates on your blog
Free blog templates are available at an instant with a quick Google search and seeing as blogging is becoming a hugely popular online past-time, many blogger have asked (especially newbies) whether these free templates are something that is worth trying to find, particularly given the choice and time it takes to find a theme that is exactly suiting your blog’s subject and purpose.
Experts on the Web would always tell us that free blog templates are the worst creation in the universe. They always say that relying on unoriginal free templates from free template sites is like dragging your own blog down yourself. However, free blog templates could be good options for beginners. Especially to those who have no CSS and HTML knowledge.
I was able to interview a friend of mine (who is now an expert blogger) who started blogging without coding knowledge and started learning it through the process. With free templates, all his blogs achieved good online presence, decent Google PRs, reputable Alexa rankings, good online reputations, and unimaginable ROIs.(To be honest, he’s not really a design-conscious blogger. He’s more concerned with the content of his blog. Despite knowing of the importance of web design, he never concentrates too much on the design and aesthetic side of blogging.)
There are two types of free blog templates you can find, the HTML and PHP templates. The only problem with HTML is (besides of course they are programmed in HTML) for most blogging platforms, this isn’t going to be a dynamic enough template to cope with the demands of plugins and widgets and constant updating. It is much preferable to use PHP template in the first place and then, to use a template that is custom designed for the blogging platform that you are using (i.e. WordPress or Blogger or otherwise).
Having said that free HTML blog templates are probably not a good way to go, I just want to clarify that doesn’t mean that free templates aren’t any good (because as I’ve said my friend was able to gain good PRs and Alexa rankings using free templates). In particular, open source templates are very good by virtue of the fact that they are being used and developed constantly and often have good support and tutorials available for customization and adding plugins and widgets as required.
BUT, we cannot disagree that expert bloggers are correct. Aesthetics, such as blog design, layout, and overall look, is important to every blog. Yet if you do not have the capability to design using technical codes or if you don’t have enough money to hire the services of a pro web designer, free templates are a big help. There is nothing wrong with it as long as you have your ways of being unique among other bloggers like the content of your blog site, make sure that your posts and articles are all unique, helpful and relevant.
Getting on the blogging train has never been easier and has become a profitable way for many webmasters and average bloggers to make money online. But if making money isn’t your primary concern you can just go with a free blog for convenience. These are easy to make pretty and to manage and update and provide a lot of fun. Please always feel free to ask me any relevant questions on any of my articles, it will always be my pleasure to assist you via comment section

Earth Gains An Extra Hour

Days on earth are getting longer as experts predicts that the earth will gain an extra hour, totaling earth hour to 25hours in a day.

But, it will take 6.7million years for the earth to gain one minute extra per day and 200million years to gain an extra hour.

Ekiti State Governor In Trouble Over 4 million Fraud Accusation

The Ekiti State House of Assembly submitted a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja Thursday to investigate a former State Governor on accusations of stealing over N40billion from Ekiti State.
The petition against Kayode Fayemi, the immediate past governor of Ekiti State and Minister of Solid Minerals, mentions other accusations including writing numerous fraudulent contracts for major construction projects, mismanaging a N25billion bond and N5billion commercial bank loan, diverting N853billion away from the State Universal Basic Education Board, and fraudulently purchasing 156 Ford vehicles.
In addition to Dr. Fayemi, the petition mentions Dapo Kolawole, Yemi Adaramodu, Abiodun Oyebanji, Arc Oyelade and Bayo Kelekun.
Sina Animasaun, one of the members of Ekiti State House Assembly who submitted the petition said the State House of Assembly could no longer ignore “the monumental looting of the State treasury perpetrated by immediate past APC government of Fayemi.”
Former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode fayemi
PM News, Lagos
Below is an excerpt and full PDF of the petition, titled “Complaint of Fraudulent Practices Against Former Ekiti State Governor and Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Kayode Fayemi & Others: Call for Investigation & Prosecution”. Ekiti State is requesting the EFCC investigate ten counts of fraud listed in detail below:
“These fraudulent practices include, but not limited to contracts inflation, misappropriation of fund, diversion of Local Council and State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) funds, amongst others.

1. Construction of New Civic Centre (See Document marked ANNEXURE 1)
Contract for the construction of a New Civic Centre was awarded to TIANJIN-YUYANG Construction Eng. Limited on August 30, 2012 at the cost of N2, 573,584,395.75. Consultancy on the construction was awarded to CASA Nig Ltd on June 11, 2012 at the cost of N137,611,325.07.
As at the end of 2012, a sum of N643,396,098.94 (representing 25% of total contract sum) had been paid to TIANJIN-YUYANG Construction Eng. Limited while the consultant, CASA Nig. Ltd was paid N89,801,901.06 (representing 80% of total contract sum).
In 2013, a sum of N350,116,245.17 was paid to TIANJIN-YUYANG Construction Eng. Limited, making a total sum of N993,512,344.11 (representing 45% of total contract sum).

2. New Governor’s Office (See Document marked ANNEXURE 2)
2a. Contract for the construction of earthwork for the New Governor’s office was awarded to PONTI-ITALWARE Nig Ltd on March 3rd, 2012 at the sum of N383,900,911.06, with a sum of N115,170,273.32 paid to the contractor. The New Governor’s Office was proposed to be constructed from the N25 billion Bond obtained by the State Government, with N3, 474,700.000.00 earmarked for the project.
However, despite that N115170,273.32 was paid to PONTI-ITALWARE Nig Ltd for earthwork, the site was abandoned, with no significant work done.
BOC ARCHITECTS of 32 Adeola Adeleye Street, Ilupeju, Lagos, the Project Consultant was paid N11,596,746.41.
Despite the payment of N115, 170,273.32, nothing significant was done.

2b. Contract for the construction of the New Governor’s Office was awarded to Messrs Interkel Nig. Ltd (12, Maitama Sule Street, Southwest Ikoyi, Lagos 0812900918) on March 1, 2014. The contract sum was N2,02,495,857.45. Out of the 30% mobilisation fee of N608,248,757.24, a sum of N10
0 million was paid to the contractor with nothing to show.
3. N25bn bond and N5bn commercial bank loan

3a. N25 billion was sourced from the capital market to finance capital projects. This was obtained in two tranches of N20 billion and N5 billion in October 2011 and January 2014 respectively.
The Bond Prospectus, which was approved by the House of Assembly was not adhered to as the money was diverted into projects not listed in the Bond Prospectus. For instance, N1 billion was earmarked for the construction of Civic Centre whereas N1, 465,401,522.72 was spent on the project from the bond, with project left uncompleted.
Also, the State Pavilion to which N1, 583,292,358.00 was earmarked and total sum of N1,457,945,445.44 was paid to the contractor was left uncompleted.
Projects funded from the Bond Proceeds but were not within the scope of the Bond Prospectus are listed in the document marked ANNEXURE 3.

3b. Towards the June 21, 2014 governorship election, N5 billion loan was obtained, using Fountain Holdings Limited, a company with N15 million share capital. The N5 billion loan was obtained from EcoBank without recourse to the Debt Management Office (DMO) and it was claimed that the loan was used to execute capital projects like construction of roads.
Our question is; is it part of the responsibilities of Fountain Holdings Limited to execute capital projects like road construction on behalf of Ekiti State Government?
Fountain Holdings Limited is an investment company owned by the Ekiti State Government. The responsibility of Fountain Holdings Limited is to manage and supervise all companies owned by the Ekiti State Government. The Share Capital of the company is N15m, and we wonder how a company with N15m Share Capital could be granted N5bn loan by EcoBank without any recourse to the DMO!
As at today, there is no single evidence of utilisation of the N5 bilion, suggesting that the loan was taken to fund Fayemi’s botched re-election bid.

4. New Government House (See Document marked ANNEXURE 4)
Contract for the construction of a new government house was awarded to KOURIS Construction Nigeria Limited on July 27th, 2012. The initial contract sum was N2,054,573,822.00.
Curiously, another N730, 186,636.87 contract for additional works was awarded to the same company on October 10th, 2014, FIVE days to the end of the government of Dr Kayode Fayemi! It was claimed that the additional works was as a result omissions on the original Bill of Quantities prepared for the project.
For a contract awarded on July 27th, 2012, the question is; why waiting till October 10th, 2014, five days to the end of the government to realise that there were omissions on the original Bill of Quantities prepared for the project?
Curiously again, another N604,961,645.72 contract was awarded to KITWOOD Nigeria Limited on June 18th, 2014 (three days to the June 21, 2014 governorship election) for the furnishing of the government house.
To show that the State Ministry of Works was not carried along in the contract award and execution, the contractor was asked to report at the office of Fayemi’s Chief of Staff, Yemi Adaramodu to sign contractual agreement and also obtain detailed specifications of the items to be procured.
5. Diversion of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) (See Document marked ANNEXURE 5)

A sum of N852,936,713.92 was illegal withdrawn from SUBEB Access Bank Account Number 0065385694 on October 8, 2014, eight days to the end of Dr Fayemi’s tenure as Ekiti State governor.
The N852, 936,713.92 was counterpart fund paid by the Ekiti State Government to access the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) 2012 Marching Grant of N852,936,793.12.
This illegal withdrawal was in contravention of Section 11(2) of the Universal Basic Education (UBE) Act, 2004.
It should be noted that UBEC Deputy Executive Secretary, Dr. Yakubu Gambo told the Senate Committee on Finance’s Budget Defence that Dr. Fayemi, used the N852.9 million counterpart funds dedicated for education by the federal government through the UBEC for other purposes.
Mr Dapo Kolawole, who was Fayemi’s Commissioner for Finance, while defending the allegation, said there was no law forbidding States from borrowing counterpart funds to support state’s capital development operations.
Consequent upon this illegal withdrawal, UBEC caused a letter to be written to the Ekiti SUBEB in which the commission called for the return of the N852, 936,713.92 to the account of SUBEB.
UBEC also suspended Ekiti SUBEB from accessing any further FGN-UBE Intervention Fund until further notice.
UBEC, in the letter dated April 16, 2015, with Reference Number; UBEC/FA/SUBEB/EK/183/Vol.II/162 described the withdrawal as criminal act that violated Section 11(2) of UBE Act 2004 and conveyed its suspension of Ekiti State from accessing any further FGN-UBE Intervention Fund.
UBEC letters dated April 16, 2015 and April 29, 2015 as well extract from Ekiti SUBEB Statement of Account are herewith attached.

6. Diversion of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB)
In 2012, contracts worth N4,246,094,751.14 were awarded through the Bureau of Special Projects (under the Governor’s office), headed by Mr. Kelekun. The contracts were for renovation of schools, supply of school furniture and construction of classrooms. Funds for these projects were taken from SUBEB and Local Governments accounts.
Of these contracts, N3,672,078,820.14 were for renovation of schools alone. Atlantic Offshore & Properties got N1,152,562,555.14, Strabic Nig. Ltd got N1,107,744.408.21, Bam Darley Nig. Ltd. got N924,977,310.95 while Fatub Nig. Ltd got N486,794,545.84.
Immediately the renovation contracts were awarded, Atlantic Offshore & Properties was paid N750 million (70% of contract sum), Strabic Nig. Ltd was paid N600 million (65% of contract sum), Bam Darley Nig. Ltd was paid N600 million (70% of contract sum) while Fatub Nig. Engineering Ltd was paid N150 million (60% of contract sum).
A total of N2.1bn was paid from SUBEB and LG accounts to these contractors even before the commencement of work, and over 40% of the payment was diverted into private pockets.
In the 2014 Capital Projects Report, payments to the contractors were presented as;
Atlantic Offshore & Properties - N1, 022,130,415.64
Strabic Nig. Ltd -    N957, 237,829.62
Bam Darley Nig. Ltd    -    N742, 730,990.25
Fatub Engineering Nig. Ltd    - N431, 327,270.41
As at the time N1,022,130,415.64 was paid to Atlantic Offshore & Properties, only 60% work had been done, meaning that Atlantic Offshore & Properties was only entitled to N691,537,551. Bam Darley Nig. Ltd that was paid N742,730,990.25 had done 60% work too and ought to have been paid N554,986,386.57.

7. Inflation of Road Contracts
Contracts for REHABILITATION of Roads were awarded at highly inflated cost, with some of the roads costing as high N50 million per kilometre. The REHABILITATION only involved cutting of failed portion, filling with laterite and stone base and asphalt overlay. No subsoil drainages, new pipe culverts and box culverts were constructed.
For instance, 10.7km Ado-Afao was awarded at N538,638,704.26, 17km Ilawe-Igbara Odo-Ibuji road, which was awarded at a little above N200m by the government preceding Fayemi’s government was re-awarded at N894,698,043.75, 11.5km Ado-Ilawe road was awarded at N482,849,098.20, 3.6km Ijigbo-Baptist College (Ilawe road) was awarded at
N788,038,599.60 while Fajuyi-University Teaching Hospital Road that is less than 3km was awarded at N447,544,063.50
Rehabilitation of 13km Old Garrage-Ado-Ikere road was awarded to Plycon Nig Ltd at N2, 369,833,077.15.
Construction of 0.8km Old Garrage-Ojumose (Ado-Ekiti) road was awarded to Heartland Nig. Ltd at N866,872,873.13.

8. Diversion of LG Funds to Pay For Roads Awarded By State Govt.
Using the State Public Works Corporation (PWC), rehabilitation 5km township roads were embarked upon in each of the 16 LGs. Contracts for the rehabilitation of these roads were awarded without any imput from the respective LGs while fund for the project was deducted from the local councils allocation.
For instance, rehabilitation of 5km roads in Moba LG was awarded for N368,950,821.09, Ido/Osi LG for N329, 950,821.50 and Ilejemeje LG for N347,914,157.68. Apart from the PWC, cronies of Governor Kayode Fayemi were also given the contract. Most of the road projects have been abandoned.

9. Fraudulent Purchase of 156 Units of Ford vehicles from Coscharis Motors
N1.2 billion loan was obtained from First Bank Plc for the purchase of 156 units of Ford vehicles from Coscharis Motors Limited, for traditional rulers in the State.
It is on record that only 156 units of the vehicles were delivered while Coscharis, in its letter dated May 2, 2014 said it delivered 235 units. Up till today, the remaining 79 vehicles are yet to be accounted.
It is also on record that proposal for the supply of vehicles was submitted on November 14, 2013 while the vehicles were distributed to the Obas on August 27, 2013! The supplier, Coscharis also registered as a civil/building contractor in Ekiti State on November 13, 2013.
Coscharis, which supplied the vehicles only registered as a civil/building contractor in Ekiti State on November 13, 2013 and submitted proposal for the supply of the vehicles on November 14, 2013 while the vehicles were supplied in August 2013 and distributed on August 27, 2013, three clear months before the proposal to supply the vehicles was made.
Furthermore, it is also on record that instructions were sent to Local Government Chairmen on November 15, 2013 to deliberate on the proposal sent by Coscharis on November 14, 2013 in their F&GPC meetings and their decision to get back to the Ministry of Local Government and
Chieftaincy Affairs not later than November 22, 2013; while the vehicles they were to deliberate upon in the F&GPC meetings in November were delivered in August and distributed to the Obas on August 27, 2013.
Also, while the vehicles were distributed on August 27, 2013 and the tracking done on September 13, 2013, certificate of no objection to procure the vehicles was issued on February 24, 2014.

10. Ado Ekiti Beautification Project (See Document marked ANNEXURE 6)
Contract worth N596, 151,159.10 was awarded for construction walkways and beautification of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital was awarded to nine contractors. (See Annexure … for list of contractors).
Total sum of N306, 165,425.90 was paid to the contractors. A visit to the project sites will reveal that nothing significant was done to justify this payment.
Apart from Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the following people are involved in the alleged fraudulent practices amongst others.
1. Mr. Dapo Kolawole - 08135063506
2. Mr. Yemi Adaramodu - 08035019919
3. Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji – 08072074878
4. Arc Oyelade (CASA Nig Ltd) – 07059825045
5. Mr. Bayo Kelekun – 08129020900
6. Interkel Nig Ltd – 08129009118, 08033223296
Consequent upon these alleged fraudulent practices perpetrated by the immediate past government of Dr. Fayemi, Ekiti State has been finding it difficult to meet up with its responsibilities.
It will also interest you that several petitions have been written to your commission both by concerned citizens of the State and the State Government itself.
We are however miffed that nothing has been done to these petitions despite that they were duly received by the commission.
In view of the need for an all-inclusive anti-corruption fight, we implore that you act promptly by directing thorough investigation into the alleged fraudulent practices enumerated above with a view to bringing anyone fund culpable to justice.
Thanking you for your anticipated prompt

sports betting: man kills himself for 22k

A man in his early 30s, Mr. Uchenna, hanged himself in his room along Abak road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital, after losing N22,000 to sports betting.
Our correspondent gathered that Uchenna was a perpetual sports gambler with Naija Bet and that he took the said sum he lost from his boss in the hope that he would replace it when he wins.
Uchenna’s roommate, ýIfiok, said the deceased had been lamenting after losing the money and got himself into a terrible state of mind.
“I went out to buy something from Plaza (the city center) and on getting back I found that everywhere was locked. I knew Uchenna hasn’t gone out and I wondered what must have made him to lock up himself. I tried to open the door for several minutes without success until I had to force it open. I then found him hanging from the ceiling fan in our room and his eyes had popped out,” Ifiok said.
A neighbour who spoke to our correspondent, Uto Udobia, decried the high rate of sports betting which has become prevalent among the youths and even elders.
She called on government and other regulatory agencies to check the sports betting activities, stressing that it is pure gambling and it is already fuelling crime among the youths and also derailing their careers.

I welcome you all to this important occasion of the launching of the National Re-orientation Campaign, called ‘Change Begins With Me’. Nigeria today is passing through a challenging moment where hardly anything works in a normal manner. Many have attributed this phenomenon to the total breakdown of our core values over the years.
2. It is safe to say today that honesty, hard work, Godliness have given way to all kinds of manifestations of lawlessness and degeneration in our national life. This is why we have among our cardinal objectives ‘change’, which implies the need for a change of attitude and mindset in our everyday life.
3 I need not mention the serious effort we have engaged in since the inception of this administration on the fight against corruption in our public life. With the progress we have so far made in that regard, we feel the need to ensure that we put in place the necessary sustainable framework for action and measures that will help to entrench and consolidate the progress achieved so far.
4. This we believe can best be maintained through attitudinal change, and the change of our mindset in private and public life. The campaign we are about to launch today is all about the need for us to see change not merely in terms of our economic, social progress but in terms of our personal behaviour on how we conduct ourselves, engage our neigbhours, friends and generally how we relate with the larger society in a positive and definitive way and manner that promotes our common good and common destiny, change at home, change in the work place, change at traffic junction, change at traffic lights etc.
5. This campaign is part of the determination of our party to seek to carry all Nigerians along on the journey to a better and greater society that we all can be proud of.
6. There is no doubt that our value system has been badly eroded over the years. The long-cherished and time honoured, time-tested virtues of honesty, integrity, hard work, punctuality, good neighbourliness, abhorrence of corruption and patriotism, have given way in the main to dishonesty, indolence, unbridled corruption and widespread impunity.
7. The resultant effect of this derailment in our value system is being felt in the social, political and economic sphere. It is the reason that some youths will take to cultism and brigandage instead of studying hard or engaging in decent living; it is the reason that some elements will break pipelines and other oil facilities, thus robbing the nation of much-needed resources; it is the reason that money belonging to our commonwealth will be brazenly stolen by the same public officials to whom they were entrusted; it is the reason why motorist drive through red traffic lights, it is the reason that many will engage in thuggery and vote-stealing during elections; it is part of what has driven our economy into deep problem out of which we are now working hard to extricate ourselves. Every one of us must have a change from our old ways of doing things, we cannot fold our arms and allow things to continue the old way.
8. We must resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship, pettiness and immaturity that have poisoned our country for so long. Let us summon a new spirit of responsibility, spirit of service, of patriotism and sacrifice, Let us all resolve to pitch in and work hard and look after, not only ourselves but one another, What the current problem has taught us is that we cannot have a thriving army of rent seekers and vested interests, while the majority suffers.
9. Rather than sit back and complain endlessly, we have decided to act pragmatically, with the launch of this National Re-orientation Campaign. The campaign will not be a sprint but a marathon that will run the course of our tenure. We are under no illusion that the changes we seek will happen overnight, but we have no doubt that the campaign will help restore our value system and rekindle our nationalistic fervor
10. I am therefore appealing to all Nigerians to be part of this campaign. Our citizens must realize that the change they want to see begins with them, and that personal and social reforms are not theoretic exercise. If you have not seen the change in you, you cannot see it in others or even the larger society. In other words, before you ask ‘where is the change they promised us’, you must first ask how far have I changed my ways ‘what have I done to be part of the change for the greater good of society’.
11. While the government will drive the Change Begins With Me’ campaign, it must be strongly supported by all concerned individually. In this regard the private sector is a major stakeholder. Indeed when the campaign succeeds, it will impact heavily on the private sector. A punctual, diligent and hardworking staff can only be of benefit of not just himself or herself or the organization they work for but to various governments whether at local, state or Federal level.
12. While congratulating the stakeholders, especially Ministry of Information and Culture and the National Orientation Agency for conceiving this campaign, I charge all to pursue the campaign with vigour and ensure its sustenance by taking it to all the nook and crannies of this country, with the aim of getting the buy in of the old, the young, the rich, the poor irrespective of gender or other social positions.
13. Your Excellencies, Honourable Ministers, Members of the National Assembly, Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now my pleasure to formally launch and handover the instrument of the Change Campaign tagged Change Begins With Me to the Honourable Minister for Information and Culture, for transmission to all Nigerians and friends of Nigeria. Indeed I say to the glory of Mighty Allah, “Change Begins With Me”
14. Thank you all for your kind attention

Sign(s) that God's not dead

God's not dead, await His second coming.

What is the second coming?
The second coming is the return of Jesus Christ to earth for the sole purpose of taking His believers with Him.

In His first coming,Jesus Christ was born as a baby in a manger in Bethlehem, just as prophesied.

Jesus fulfilled many of the prophecies of the Messiah during His birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection. However, there are some prophecies regarding the Messiah that Jesus has not yet fulfilled.

The second coming of Christ will be the return of Jesus Christ to fulfill these remaining prophecies.

In His first coming, Jesus was the suffering servant.
In His second coming, Jesus will be the conquering king.

In His first coming, Jesus arrived in the most humble of circumstances.
In His second coming, Jesus will arrive with the armies of heaven at His side.

In His first coming Jesus fulfilled the role of the suffering servant servant (Isaiah 53).
In His second coming, Jesus will fulfill the role of Israel's(christians) deliverer and king (zechariah 12:10, Revelation 1:7, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 19:11-16).

The big question now is ARE YOU READY FOR HIS SECOND COMING?

If not make Jesus Christ your Lord, and savior cos' God's not dead.

kogi state governor escapes stone attack by angry youths

Angry youths in Lokoja, Kogi State began pelting stones at Governor Yahaya Bello yesterday during the Jumaat prayers, according to eyewitnesses.
The stoning, it was learned by Kadibia's blog, is likely connected corruption allegations rocking Mr. Bello’s administration and from growing resentment against the Kogi government for not paying workers salaries or pensions. Kogi residents have noted that bailout funds were made available to Governor  Bello but they have not been used to pay worker debts.
Mr. Bello, who was attending prayers at the Lokoja Central Mosque, arrived to the location in a long convoy of state cars including Armored Personnel Carriers, according to Kogi residents.
The governor reportedly arrived late to the prayers, missing one raqa’at prayer, but was forced from completing his remaining prayers when worshipers inside the mosque began booing and jesting him.
Mr. Bello was forced to flee the humiliating scene based on “security advice” from his aides, according to sources at the scene.
However, when the embattled governor left the mosque he was met by a horde of disgruntled youth who began to pelt stones and castigate him with insults.
The scene erupted when security agents began shooting their weapons into the air to disperse the crowds and firing tear gas canisters at them.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that nearby youths retaliated by throwing the canisters back at the security detail as Mr. Bello cowered from the scene.
Mr. Bello was eventually smuggled into his car and whisked away accompanied by his convoy.
According to an NGO Egalitarian Mission for Africa, the Kogi State government, under the leadership of Mr. Bello, has been accused of looting N11 billion in state funds and not paying its workers as a consequence.

GEJ: I left Nigeria in best economic state

In a recent statement, former president Jonathan said he handed over the best Nigerian government, and the largest economy in Africa to president Buhari.
“I took over a Nigeria that was the second largest economy in Africa with a GDP of $270.5 billion in 2009, I handed over a Nigeria that had grown to become the largest economy in Africa and the 24th largest economy in the World, with a GDP of $574 billion.
I inherited a Nigeria in which the trains were not working, and handed over a Nigeria in which citizens can safely travel by trains again.
I inherited a Nigeria that was a net importer of cement, and handed over a Nigeria that is a net exporter of cement.
In 2009, the richest Nigerian was the 5th richest man in Africa, but I handed over a Nigeria that produced the richest man in Africa.
The former President stated that democracy will continue to grow in the African continent if leaders value the process of elections more than the product of the process.
Even in the 2015 general elections in my country, Nigeria, there was potential for major crisis if I was not a President duly elected by the will of the people.
The campaigns leading to the elections almost polarized the country into Christian vs Muslims and North vs South divide. Most World leaders were worried that our elections will result into major crisis.
Some pundits even from here in the United States said that those elections would spell the end of Nigeria and that we would cease to exist as a nation because of the polls.
That is where the leadership question comes into play. As a leader that was duly elected by the people, I considered the people’s interest first.
How do I manage my people to avoid killings and destruction of properties?
With the interest of the people propelling all the decisions I took, we were able to sail through.
Indeed, we sail through because I refused to interfere with the independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, having appointed a man I had never met in my life to run it.
My philosophy was simple. For elections to be credible, I as a leader, must value the process more than the product of the process. And the citizens must have confidence in the electoral body”.
